Dabbe Waterfalls - Hosagadde, Sagar

Dabbe Falls is a pristine waterfall near Hosagadde in Shimoga. This falls is deeply hidden in the mountains near Hosagadde. The trek route through the deep valley leads to the delightful Dabbe Falls. Hosagadde, 20 km from Kargal, is on the way to Bhatkal from Sagar via Talaguppa and Kargal, which is famous for the Jog falls.

Finally after 3 hours long bike ride we reached to Dabbemane house we left our bikes near to house and crossed paddy fields just opposite to the house and we find a steep downer trail inside the thick jungle. The path towards the falls is a very steep climb down, in most of the places the incline is close to 70-80 degrees. Only with the support of the overhanging branches and protruding tree roots it was possible for us to reach the bottom. It took us more than 30 minutes to make it to the base.

DudhSagar in Monsoon -Sea of milk

Dudhsagar Falls is listed as India's 5th tallest waterfall, and is 227th in the world at 310 m
Like most places in Goa, the Dudhsagar waterfall too has a legend attached to its name. The legend tells the story of this powerful and wealthy king who ruled a kingdom in the Western Ghats. He lived on the top of a mountain in the Western Ghats along the Goan frontier. He lived in a lavish palace made of pure ivory and embedded by precious stones. And around this palace, there were luxuriant gardens abounding in a vast variety of flowers. At one end of the forest, which fringed the king's palace, there was a picturesque lake. In the panoramic setting of this lake, the king's daughter, accompanied by her ladies-in-waiting, went to bathe and to sip sugared milk which one of her maids served to her in a pure gold jug. One day, while she was sipping at the milk, a prince, who was passing by, stopped on hearing the sound of people nearby. Immediately, the princess poured the milk in the pond to shield her body from the glances of the stranger. It is believed that the sugared milk that was poured by the virtuous and modest princess still comes flowing down in torrents along that side of the mountain.
