Tirthabare waterfalls
One fine morning me & my friends Ashok, Raghu and Arun started our journey from Udupi to visit a Tirthabare water falls in two bikes, so that we can return to Udupi as early as possible. We planned so initially. After we had breakfast in middle of our journey, again we started bike riding in NH-17. (Horrible experience)
Instead of usual walking we planed to walk in river side edge. As it was very difficult to walk and long way we tired, but enjoyed this river path walking a lot. Finally we reach the falls falling from more than half km high.
Tirthabare waterfalls...
After 5 km horrible mud road riding we reached one remote place there. We parked our bike near by one home & started to walk. we entered thick forest after 10 minutes walk.Instead of usual walking we planed to walk in river side edge. As it was very difficult to walk and long way we tired, but enjoyed this river path walking a lot. Finally we reach the falls falling from more than half km high.
It was falling in many beautiful steps, first two steps which were falling from big high. We tried to go to reach that steps but route was very hard in some places we had to jump from stone to stone to go ahead. even the stones were also slipping. But with much difficulty we reached the 2nd stage. One of our partner Raghu was very much afraid of slipping from big stones but we told him that there is no other way. Ashok & Arun started rock climbing to reach final step, they started the rock from the left side of the 2nd stage, but they could not reach. There is no proper way to go 1st stage. the route is fully covered with bamboo grass & other plants so they cannot see the surface. Then they decided to come back. There after we took bath. We enjoyed a lot by exposing ourselves to the falling water. This was very nice experience.
we took snaps in the waterfalls to our maximum satisfaction & returned back at noon.

Three Days in Charmadi range..
Three Days State Level Trekking Program in Charmadi range...
It’s a fantastic trekking camp in my life as it is totally a memorable one. This camp gives me lots of experience, friends. As it is a state-level camp, the organizers of this camp arranged so many volunteers for the success.
On 31/10/08 we visited Kumbakallu & Minchukallu which is very beautiful place. The trekking lovers won’t miss this place really if they really feels.
On our 2nd day in this state level camp we visited the famous jenukallu, kodekallu & Balegudda. "All this 3 places makes u to feel different and gives a cool feeling & makes u happy" is the only openion from all the trekkers of this camp, which i felt in my last visit also.
As I met with new friends who are unmemorable for me, is also made me feel good. All the famous persons, doctors, different types of people met together here....
In this camps last day we visited Yerikallu also very good place. We didn’t feel dull even after 2 consecutive day’s walking. “Though there is no rest trekking is best” is my view about this trekking.
On our way to ERIKALLU our Lilllie girl in this camp saw a beautiful tortoise welcoming us to this beautiful place. Its amazing one we saw ever on this peak.

Amrutheshwari Temple - Annigeri
Last week when I visited Hubli on my work, I though not waste my time there. So I contacted my friend Rajesh Naik, he referred me some temples in Hubli.
Front view of Amrutheshwari Temple
Surrounding of this place I also visited Banashankari Gudi, Uma Bharathi gudi, & Purudeshwara Gudi which I liked most for its beautiful structure. The large and black stone Amrtesvara Temple is the finest examples produced by the Kalyani Chalukya. The temple has a roof supported by 76 pillars and carvings of mythological figures on its walls.
History -In 1157 the Kalachuris under Bijjala II captured Basavakalyan and occupied it for the next twenty years, forcing the Chalukyas to move their capital city to Annigeri in the present-day Dharwad district. To provide education at the primary and Vedic levels, Annigeri had five Brahmapuris. In 2010, over 100 human skulls were found in a drain at Annigeri. According to the preliminary theories, the area may have been a mass grave around some 150-200 years ago, or it may have been a battle ground. After the discovery, the Archaeological Survey of India officials visited the site, and the government of Karnataka ordered an excavation. After the excavation, 471 skulls were found on a stretch of 15.6 meters by 1.7 meters. As of 2011, the archaeologists were searching for any mention of a massacre in the local folklore or history.
Evening I went Chandramwleswara Temple, located in Unkal Village which is 4km away from Hubli. This Temple is now totally damaged, because of negligence of Archeological Department., After that I returned back with some beautiful memory of Hubli.
Amrutheshwari Temple
As per his guidance Morning I went to Annigeri village ,its around 37km away from Hubli. First I visited to the 'Amrutheshwari Temple' the black stone temple built by the Western Chalukya Empire which is under the protection of Archeological Department. The temple was originally built in the 10th Century. History of this temple is this famous temple was built by famous architect Jakanacharya. People here says that this temple was built in single night at 10th century. Chandramwleswara Temple
The Chandramouleshwara temple is located in the suburbs of Hubli city, in the Unkal Village. It is a 900 year old Chalukya construction. Inscriptions found in Unkal village date this temple to the 11th or 12th century. This temple has been declared as a protected monument, and is under the administration of the Archaeological Survey of India. But no proper measures have actually been taken to protect and renovate this magnificent temple. The ASI had started to build a compound wall to protect this monument from encroachment and misuse, but the work is just half finished. Kids use the temple premises as a play ground. This historical temple needs urgent action to save it and restore it to its former glory.

This 900 year old Chalukyan structure is modeled on the
monuments found in Aihole, Badami and Pattadakal, the ancient cradles of South
Indian Temple Architecture. This temple is dedicated to Chandramouleshwara,
another name for Lord Shiva. It houses two Shiva Lingas. One Shiva Linga is
enclosed in a shrine which has four entrances in four directions.
This is the
main shrine of Chandramouleshwara. The other shrine is known as Chaturmukha
Lings, the four faced lings. Pujas are still performed everyday in the temple.
The temple has pillars built of black granite. The walls and pillars are well
decorated with sculptures. The figure of Dancing Ganesha is captivating. The
temple walls, pillars and pilasters are covered in lovely carvings. This temple
is a fine example of Chalukyan temple architecture.

Dabbe Waterfalls - Hosagadde, Sagar
Dabbe Falls is a pristine waterfall near
Hosagadde in Shimoga. This falls is deeply hidden in the mountains near
Hosagadde. The trek route through the deep valley leads to the delightful Dabbe Falls.
Hosagadde, 20 km from Kargal, is on the way to Bhatkal from Sagar via Talaguppa
and Kargal, which is famous for the Jog falls.
Finally after 3 hours long bike ride we reached to
Dabbemane house we left our bikes near to house and crossed paddy fields just
opposite to the house and we find a steep downer trail inside the thick jungle.
The path towards the falls is a very steep climb down, in most of the places
the incline is close to 70-80 degrees. Only with the support of the overhanging
branches and protruding tree roots it was possible for us to reach the bottom.
It took us more than 30 minutes to make it to the base.
