Bolle Mane Waterfalls

We started in the lower Kudremukh region in rainy time, a beautiful unexplored waterfalls with a set of Eighteen members. The trekking to the waterfall can be hard specially during the monsoon but the natural beauty, sound of the flowing water and the cool breeze is sure to mesmerize and keep up the energy high with enthusiasm.
The up hill trek was challenging demanding endurance at every moment. The purity of the place was commendable, pumping and making good the required energy to our tired body and soul. Most of the folks from our group not trekked to Bolle Mane Waterfall and most of the them were quite happy about the decision to be courageous for trekking and having a lifetime experience.
After another 90 minutes of delicate treading and fighting against severe arachnophobia, we stumbled into paradise. What literally gleamed in front of us was an infinity pool that cascaded over the top of the cliff and presented a view of untouched, luscious mountains, and it was all ours. At the closer view of the falls all of our tiredness vanished & all of a sudden there was zest in mind, which started jumping with great happiness seeing the falls.
We spent some time around waterfall to relax and have some splashes under the fall. Nervously we entered the depths of its waters and after another 10 minutes of ice-cold bathing and we were ready to climb back.
Bolle Mane Waterfalls is most beautiful during the monsoons, which happens with most of the waterfalls. The natural beauty sound of the flowing water and the cool breeze is sure to mesmerize and leave you spellbound.

Monsoon Walk to Misty Forthill

The clouds are back; the rains are back and its showering heavily in Western-Ghats   range so we decided to do another monsoon trek here. It’s very special to go for trek during rainy season. Gadaikallu is the best place to explore during Monsoon, one of the easiest and safest treks. The experienced shared here a trek which happened during last weekend.
I left my home at morning 5 o clock and joined my enthusiastic travelogue team in Belthangady. Actually our agenda was to go somewhere wild in Charmadi range but when we traveling through the Ghat road we heard further Ghat road has been blocked since morning 3AM due to landslide. Last night here recorded heavy rain fall and it’s caused for nastiest land slides in these areas. So without any chance finally we headed to Gadaikallu hill.
A pleasant ride through the winding roads will take us to the bottom of this fort hill. There was no security guard on that day he might think no one will dare to come in such rainy day. It’s raining throughout our journey we were all set to get totally drenched in rains, yet its fun and we were craving to once again to hike our favorite trek point. Trails shrouded in an atmosphere which is totally unlike a blue clean day.
The climb starts off with some well maintained steps, and then we slowly start climbing steeper and steeper domains. In the hills patches of clouds will roll through, reducing visibility to only a dozen or so feet in any direction with only the faint black shapes of trees around. Things here in the Monsoon Smoky Mountain take on a spooky, misty quality in the rain. After crossing two fort walls we entered an interesting part our journey started through steep slippery Rocky terrain.
We continued on set of huge stony steps which connected to upper fort entrance wall, across the hike on one side you have the rock surface of the fort while on the other side nothing except a small cut out of the same rock surface some places the rock walls are on the edge of this hill. Because of rain it went more slippery and you can sight some small seasonal cascades across the journey.
Continued on this steps we reached next level which almost top. We just had some open space and shorter grass at a place that we spent our time. As the wind velocity is very high on top, luckily the rain stopped as we reached the peak. After a small break first we headed to northern end of the hill top. We had been to this fort in rainy season so the grass had grown to be tall and it was really hard to find any path to look around the fort.
After a small walk we reached to the top of northern end but we can’t get any clear view because of thick mist the mist which had engulfed the whole valley. The running white Clouds generally kiss this hill and that would give some more nice scenes on rainy season.
Another side of the hill top at the peak a small shelter made by kings time. This hill is isolated from surrounding hill ranges stands tall and dominant even from a distance; it gives a good view of all the villages in the surrounding on one side you see the Western Ghats and another vast plains.
It’s a very panoramic view especially in Monsoon time the place is really nice and is a paradise for nature lover and trekkers. Getting down was a little tricky as we were slipping and sliding while getting down. We took an hour to get down and were at the base of the hill. I love to hike in the rain it always seems to add adventure. I ended up finding great views, It’s a different world altogether and seems somewhat magical.

Anadka Waterfalls, Didupe

Trek during monsoon is really thrilling. Streams overflowing, rivers touching danger limits are a few common sights. To catch up any waterfall at this season is really challenging and also very risky. This time me & my friend Kamat sir (Ramesh kamath) planned to go to Anadka waterfalls, so we planned to go on Bike. The brooks running down the forest area in the Western Ghat region beautifies the landscape, appearing as though the Ghat has been decorated with some ornament. So is the Anadka falls, which has elevated the beauty of forest in Didupe village, with the crystal clear water, gushing midst the rocky path, thus providing a magnificent view to the visitors. If the picturesque falls with the greenery in its backdrop gives picture perfect view to those who love to capture the sight in the lens, the intense waterfall without fail would persuade one to drench in the chill water, the memory of which would last for a long time.

After a hard long Bike ride on affected road we reached Didupe village. There we parked our bike near one house. Anadka falls is about 2kms by walk from Didupe. Passing through few estates, habitation lessened and thick forest invited us. After 15 minutes calm walk we reached the spot. Seeing the enchanting beauty of the waterfall our minds were elated. The water flowing through thick forests & diving into deep ravine was at its purest form.

Though it was very cold, we were tempted by the water. We found a suitable place to take bath, enjoyed for some time. We had a great time spending time in such a beautiful place. So after that we planned to continue to our adventure, so Kamth sir insisted we go to Samse village through dense Yaeleneeru ghat. He collected some information about that route & also we inquired some local persons about our plan & got good news as to the route was open for public that day.

Finally we started on my Bike. But really next 3 hours journey was one of the most memorial adventure trips in my life time, there are no words to express. Nature is always beautiful enough to attract people but also enough to injure careless people. So with care if we do adventure really it would become memorable.

When I visited last time to Yelaneeru falls I heard that now that route was better compare to past. So finally 11pm we reached our home with tremendous experience, a song in the heart with complete joy.
Didupe falls is located nearly 23kms away from Ujire. One has to go to Somanthadka via Ujire-Mudigere road, take a diversion at Somanthadka and reach Didupe. The falls is located almost 2 kms away from Didupe village. The road towards the fall is not in a good condition and preferably one can walk for 2 kms. The beautiful Kuduremukh range and Bandaje falls could be seen on the way.

Unforgettable day in Bolle and Yermayi Waterfall

Yermayi Waterfall
Last weekend I and my colleagues decided to go out for two days, so I made a plan for them I decided to go few waterfalls in Belthangady. As my plan we stayed night at Dharmastala and early Sunday morning after the quick breakfast we headed to Erumay falls can be found on the road to Kajoor.
It was a fantastic bike ride in a fine rainy day. We never seen such a heavy rainfall, we were completely drowned out on rain its hitting very hard and further it continues for an hour time.
In between we decided to go Bandaje falls, we went half way towards the falls. But as we crossed Kareudhyavara route we find a house and inquired about the Bhandaje falls and they said it need whole day to approach Bandaje falls from base sideand even its difficult to find the route inside the thick shrubbery forest land. It was almost 7 km away from the village and 15kms from Mundaje.
So we changed our plan and turned back towards the same route and headed to our next destination place. It’s around 30km away from Ujire, on the way to Konaje we faced some problem in one bike so we spent hour of time for to get repair and finally we are on our way to the falls.
As no one known the correct route to the said falls, we have only map given by my friend Rajesh naik, One villager helps us to find the proper deviation and catch correct route to the falls. We started to move on his direction which led us to reach last village house, we parked our vehicle and took some direction and tips from the home members and headed to the further level by walk.
The road to the waterfalls is very confusing and we had to pass through private farms to reach our destination. We were literally crawling through the labyrinth of bushes and creepers which made our walk all the more difficult and moist weather and slippery terrain was adding to our woes. But we did not succumb to all these difficulties and finally managed to reach the falls. Well just standing in front of this majestic falls was enough to forget all the difficulties we encountered to reach here.
For all those who are looking around for a place where one can go, spend time amidst the nature and enjoy the water fall, the location that could come handy is ERUMAY Fall is the place were god created this Beautiful greenery surrounded falls with fantastic view. One must visit this falls in his life time and defiantly it will give unforgettable memories to your life.  Kannada movie CHIGURIDA KANASU  was captured on this beautiful scenic location.
After we stayed for an hour in Erumay falls we started to move towards Bolle Falls through Kajooru -Kolli – Killur Route. We finished our lunch in Kolli Temple and we headed with our bikes on a muddy track which rain also joined fro to make drive more thrilling . Meanwhile villagers told us to get permission because its comes under Kudremukh National Park, but lack of time without getting permission we headed to Bolle village.
As we went inside this National park (this area comes under Kudremuka National Park) deeper & deeper we didn’t find any falls, but only sounds. After one of our friend stopped bike riding, fearing that Tyre may be punctured, all of us started to walk towards Bolle Mane, which is the only clue we had with us.
At one point I feared that we are in wrong way, but my friend Rajesh Naik said me about the Bolle Mane so I decided to search the house first but didnt get supports from my friends they all tiered and flustrated after a unstretchable walk by gods grace, I managed to find Bolle Mane (house). It’s a Very old house between thick jungle, we inquired about the falls and we requested them to help us, as we have already lost strength to search further. Finally the person agreed to guide us.
Once again we started to walk, keep on walking… “Its horrible route I ever scene” my friends keep telling this type of horrible comments throughout the journey, as they totally tired Physically and Mentally. Finally after lot of frustration we reached Bolle village house and one young boy from BolleMane agreed to help us to further journey.  For taking another 30 minutes walk inside the jungle we successfully reached the base of the glorious Bolle Falls. It was a unimaginable place, god’s beautiful creation made a beautiful Serene atmosphere in this place.
I like to thank Bolle mane members all my hearts for kindly their help and made a memorable part for this trip without their help we couldn't find the falls. My friends took bath under the serene dripping waterfalls, as they finally feels happy. One must have breve heart to reach this beautiful waterfalls.
The brooks running down the forest area in the Western Ghat region beautifies the landscape, appearing as though the Ghat has been decorated with some ornament. So is the Bolle waterfalls, which has elevated the beauty of forest in Bolle village, with the crystal clear water, gushing amidst the rocky path, thus providing a magnificent view to the visitors.
