Abbimatta waterfalls - Somwarpet

The waterfalls nestled on the high slops of the Bachalli Village surrounded by thick forest and paddy fields, coffee estates, hills, valleys; it’s another world there like a hidden paradise.
After a half minded decision we took deviation to this village from the main road. I was worried about only one thing, the water level. But on my first sight from the village road it’s not so bad and its enough to attracts like us. We enquired about the route with villagers and as their navigation we ended our journey with one old Mutt (Matha). The mutt was almost a ruined condition so we couldn’t spend much time to on that place so we headed to explore cascade.
This waterfall few meters away from the Mutt, That’s only Abbi Matta name came to it. First we reached top of the waterfalls and later we crossed the upper stream and climbed down for 100 meters inside the thick jungle we all reached the bottom of the waterfall and its beauty was fared far better than our expectations. I was picturing shot after shots in my camera of the silky water crashing through the rocks.
This waterfall though small in size when compared to the other waterfalls near by this but in beauty this one also pretty too. We rested a while here. For few minutes I felt a peaceful feeling coming over me by watching the water cascading down the rocks and birds flying freely above this gorge. After spending enough time under the falls we crossed the downer stream and reached back to the village with nice feeling.
